oh yeah accelerated fossil rolling tray

This rosy toasty thing doesn't much resemble most of my salt-fired ware and yet the rich desert softness of it fits my style perfectly. The clay body I used is the studio's reclaim; nothing unfired goes to waste. We collect it all over months, rehydrate it into squish, load it several times through a pugmill to get all the air bubbles out, and voila! A beautiful, sturdy stoneware at no cost and a bit of effort and time!

Salt-fired stoneware in a heavily-reduced salt firing makes this piece a natural fit for any tableau. Use it for bracelets, blessings, blunts, and bialys (top rack dishwasher-safe, just clean and reuse).

I make my work by literally tearing the clay and leaving as much of an organic edge as possible without it being "dangerware." As with all HighFired "accelerated fossils," actual c@nnabis sat!va leaves are pressed into the clay, left to dry, and burned out during the first firing. The resulting ash is collected for future use, details are highlighted with underglaze, more glaze is applied (or not) , and the piece is fired to 2300°F in one of three kilns: salt, wood, or reduction.
