two blues (pete's blue celadon) offering dish

$136.00

I used a blue underglaze on this and then Pete's Blue Celadon over the top. The contrast in tone makes me think of a pool at a luxury resort. Reduction-fired porcelain makes this offering dish a natural fit for any tableau. The crackled finish really pops.

My Torn Clay Pots are made by literally tearing the clay and leaving as much of an organic edge as possible without it being "dangerware" (I prefer "punk rock porcelain"). As with all HighFired "accelerated fossils," actual c@nnabis sat!va leaves are pressed into the clay, left to dry, and burned out during the first firing. Every mark is made intentionally. The resulting ash is collected for future use, details are highlighted with underglaze, more glaze is applied (or not) , and the piece is fired to 2300F in one of three kilns: salt, wood, or reduction.

Size is approximately 4"w x 5"h. Top rack dishwasher-safe.
